Overview
BidSignal (“we,” “us,” or “our”) helps small contractors find U.S. federal and state government contract opportunities matched to their trade. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. We keep what we collect to the minimum we need to run the Service, and we never sell your personal information.
Information we collect
- Email address — so we can send you your matched opportunities and account-related messages.
- Trade and regions — the type of work you do and the states or regions you serve, so we can match the right opportunities to you.
- Basic usage data — limited technical and email-engagement data (such as whether a message was delivered or opened) to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information. The government opportunities we surface come from public federal and state government records and official government sources; they are not your personal information.
How we use your information
- to match and email you relevant government contract opportunities;
- to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service;
- to respond to your messages and support requests; and
- to comply with legal obligations.
Cookies & analytics
We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand how visitors use the Service. These tools collect aggregated, non-personally identifiable data including pageviews, referrer, device type, and approximate geographic region. They do not set tracking cookies, build user profiles, or collect names, email addresses, or other personal information. No data is sold to third parties. For details, see Vercel’s privacy documentation.
Email, consent, and unsubscribing (CAN-SPAM)
When you join BidSignal by submitting your email, you give your consent to receive commercial email from us — namely your matched-opportunity emails and related service messages. We send these messages because you asked us to.
In keeping with the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act, every commercial email we send identifies us as the sender, includes our valid physical postal address, uses accurate subject lines and headers, and contains a clear, working unsubscribe link. You can withdraw your consent and stop receiving our emails at any time by clicking unsubscribe in any message, or by contacting us at the address below. We honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days as required by law; in practice we process them within one business day. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of messages sent before you withdrew it.
How we share information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the Service (for example, email delivery and hosting), under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only on our instructions. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the Service.
Data retention and security
We retain your information for as long as your subscription is active and as needed for the purposes described here, then delete or anonymize it. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe at any time (see above), and you can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above and, where appropriate, by email notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
